Drew A. Young, MD
Dr. Drew Young is a 5th-generation Springfield native and a proud graduate of Glendale High School. Dr. Young attended Duke University, where he graduated with distinction with a degree in Neuroscience. As someone who believes deeply in public service and civic duty, Dr. Young devoted two years after college to AmeriCorps service, where he earned both the Congressional and Presidential awards for community service. Dr. Young then attended University of Missouri for medical school and did his Ophthalmology training at the Vanderbilt Eye Institute.
Dr. Young is happy to have moved back to Southwest Missouri upon the completion of his training with his wife and cats in tow. In practice, Dr. Young focuses on vision-corrective cataract surgery, glaucoma, and medical retina cases, however, he is a true ophthalmic generalist and enjoys treating eye maladies of all kinds. Outside of work, Dr. Young enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf (poorly), traveling, and cooking. Dr. Young is currently seeing patients in our Springfield, Monett, and Branson locations.
