Jacob K. Thomas, MD, FACS

Dr. Jacob Thomas graduated from Drury University in Springfield before graduating from University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine. He completed a residency in ophthalmology and a Fellowship in cornea and external diseases of the eye at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.

Dr. Thomas specializes in LASIK, corneal transplantation, and cataract surgery at Mattax Neu Prater Eye Center. He also practices comprehensive ophthalmology, managing conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and glaucoma. Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, Dr. Thomas provides a minimally invasive glaucoma treatment option designed to reduce intraocular pressure. He is also the first in the region to perform the latest evolution in partial thickness corneal transplants.
