Joseph G. Arnold, MD
Dr. Joseph G. Arnold is a comprehensive ophthalmologist at Mattax Neu Prater, offering cataract and anterior segment surgical options to his patients. He is a native Springfieldian and graduate of Springfield Catholic High School. He attended Texas Christian University, graduating magna cum laude and earned his law degree at Pepperdine University School of Law. He is a proud graduate of the University of Missouri School of Medicine, and was among the first several classes to complete clinical rotations at MU’s Springfield Clinical Campus. During medical school, he served as Director of Patient Advocacy for the MedZou clinic, overseeing fellow medical students in providing quality patient care to countless uninsured patients in Central Missouri. Following medical school, Dr. Arnold completed his ophthalmology training at the University of Missouri Mason Eye Institute in Columbia, Missouri. Dr. Arnold is excited to be back in his hometown providing care for people in his community.
When he isn’t in the office, Dr. Arnold enjoys spending time with his wife and their two kids and two dogs. He enjoys far too many hobbies, including tennis, golf, outdoors activities, playing guitar and piano.
