Eyelid Surgery

As we age, our eyelids can change, leading to cosmetic and functional concerns. Drooping eyelids can make you look tired, and in some cases, even obstruct your vision. Dr. Nasrazadani specializes in a range of eyelid surgery (also known as eye surgery) procedures to address these issues, restoring a more youthful, refreshed appearance and improving your overall quality of life. With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to natural-looking results, Dr. Nasrazadani is dedicated to providing you with the best possible care.

Understanding Eyelid Surgery Procedures

Here at Mattax Neu Prater our Dr. Nasrazadani expertly performs several types of eyelid surgery, tailoring each procedure to the individual needs of the patient. These include:

Blepharoplasty
(Eyelid Lift):

Upper Eyelid Blepharoplasty

Blepharoplasty is the medical term for eyelid surgery. Upper blepharoplasty focuses on removing excess skin, muscle, and sometimes fat from the eyelids. This can reduce the heavy, hooded appearance that often develops with age, making you look more alert and refreshed. In some cases, upper eyelid blepharoplasty can even improve peripheral vision that is being blocked by the drooping eyelid.

Tarsal Repair
(Eyelid Reconstruction)

The tarsus is a plate of connective tissue within the eyelid that provides shape and support. Tarsal repair involves reinforcing or reconstructing the tarsus to correct eyelid abnormalities like ectropion (outward turning of the eyelid) or entropion (inward turning of the eyelid). These conditions can cause irritation, dryness, and discomfort. Dr. Nasrazdani skillfully repairs the tarsus to restore proper eyelid function and protect the eye.

Ptosis Repair
(Drooping Eyelid Correction)

Ptosis refers to the drooping of the upper eyelid. Ptosis repair is a surgical procedure designed to lift the eyelid back to its normal position. This may involve tightening the muscle that raises the eyelid (the levator muscle). Dr. Nasrazdani will carefully evaluate the cause of your ptosis to determine the most appropriate surgical approach. Addressing ptosis not only improves appearance but can also significantly improve vision.
